Camp Groups will be formed according to age

Kinder Cubs (4-6 Year Olds)
Junior Panthers (7-9 Year Olds)
Panthers (10-13 Year Olds)

You may request for your child to be placed with another specific child.

Tentative Summer Camp Schedule (Monday through Friday)

7:00 a.m. Early Parent drop-off begins at FIU Arena
8:30 a.m. Camp begins and campers gather in their “age” camp groups
9:00 a.m. First Morning Activity
10:45 a.m. Campers return to Arena
11:00 a.m. Second Morning Activity
11:45 a.m. Campers return to Arena for lunch
12:00 noon Lunch
12:45 p.m. First Afternoon Activity
1:30 p.m. Campers return to Arena
2:00 p.m. Second Afternoon Activity
3:45 p.m. Campers return to Arena
4:00 p.m. Late Snack
4:15 p.m. Campers engage in indoor game time activities
5:00 p.m. Camp activities end and parent pick-up begins at FIU Arena
6:30 p.m. Late parent pick-up ends

Note: Kinder Cubs schedule of activity will include daily rest/nap time.

Detailed activity schedule will be posted at a later date.

MEALS

Lunches will be kid-friendly summer camp lunch. Sample menu items wlll include rice/beans and a protein, deli sandwiches and wraps, all served with water or juices. Snack time will be provided and will include a selection of cookies or chips, with water and juice. Also, we will have one day out of the week where we will have a pizza day.

Summer Camp Drop-off and Pick-up Location

The drop-off and pick-up location will be the FIU Arena located at FIU’s Modesto Maidique Campus, 11200 S.W. 8 Street, Miami, Florida 33199.

EMPLOYMENT/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

High school students looking to earn volunteer hours can volunteer to help at the summer program. Contact Ana Jimenez to request a volunteer application form. Employment opportunities for Senior and Junior Counselors will be available on careers.fiu.edu after March 1, 2017. To apply you must be 16 prior to June 1st, 2017.
